INGREDIENTS:
Flour 375 g
Baking powder 2 tsp
Sugar 300 g
Butter, soft 200 g
Eggs 4
Freshly squeezed orange juice or 145 ml
some orange juice from the bottle
Some grated orange peel approx. 1 tbsp
Decoration:
Icing sugar 1 package
some colorful sprinkles
some freshly squeezed orange juice
Preparation:
1. Put the flour in a bowl, mix in the baking powder. Add butter, sugar, eggs, orange peel and orange juice (I only had one orange left so I used juice from the bottle). Mix everything together to form a smooth dough. I use a machine to do it
2. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Put the dough into a Bundt cake tin. I greased it with butter and dusted it with breadcrumbs beforehand. The whole thing then goes into the oven for 40-50 minutes. Depending on the oven, this can vary a little. It’s best to do the wooden skewer test every now and then.
3. Turn the cake out onto a wire rack and let it cool.
4. For the icing, mix the icing sugar with the orange juice, making sure it is not too runny. Decorate the cake with it.
