Remove from heat and cool the cream.
Assembling the dessert:
Once the shortbread crumbs and cream have cooled, begin assembling the dessert.
Place 2 tablespoons of shortbread crumbs into glasses or cups.
Then add 2 tablespoons of custard.
Repeat layers until container is full.
Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for about an hour.
