For the cream:
650 ml milk
1 ½ packet vanilla pudding powder
n. B. Sugar, approx. 50 – 100 g
250 g butter
For the dough:
270 ml water
150g butter
170 g flour
½ packet baking powder
4 eggs
Preparation
The cream:
1. First mix the vanilla pudding powder with 300 ml milk, bring the remaining 350 ml to the boil.Then add the vanilla pudding mixture to the boiling milk and stir until it becomes quite thick. Then add the sugar to taste. Then leave to cool. Now when the pudding is cool, mix everything briefly with the mixer and then add 150 g soft butter. The dough:
2. Now bring the water and butter to the boil. Then stir in the flour and baking powder vigorously over a low heat. Allow to cool well.
Then mix the four eggs into the cooled mixture one after the other and then mix on the highest setting for about 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Now preheat the oven to 210 degrees top/bottom heat. Then divide the dough into two parts and spread the first part thinly and evenly on the baking tray.
4. Then bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until it is golden brown. Then process the second half of the dough in the same way and allow to cool well. Now spread the cream on the bottom half and place the top part on top. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
