Homemade Egg Flan 🍮

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
6 large eggs
1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:

1️⃣ Caramel Preparation:
In a pan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns into a golden caramel.
Pour the caramel into the bottom of a flan mold, evenly covering the bottom. Let cool.
2️⃣ Flan Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, beat the eggs.
Add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract to the beaten eggs. Mix well until all ingredients are fully integrated.
Pour the flan mixture into the mold with the caramel.
3️⃣ Bain-marie Cooking:
Place the flan mold inside a larger baking dish.
Fill the dish with hot water until it reaches half the height of the flan mold (bain-marie).
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4️⃣ Cooling and Unmolding:
Remove the flan from the oven and let it cool at room temperature.
Refrigerate the flan for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
To unmold, run a knife around the edges of the flan and turn the mold out onto a large plate.
Done! Enjoy your delicious homemade egg flan. 🍮✨
